VW Speed has been trading since August 2004 and was founded by Mike Moorhead. In the past Mike has worked for Volkswagen in both a Parts and trade Representative roles. He has been in the Volkswagen scene for 10 years, was Club GTI Magazine Editor for 9 months, founder of the Manchester Club GTI region, initial consultant on the creation of Elite 1000 etc etc. After 7 years Mike felt his Volkswagen training and enthusiasm for the VW scene would be the perfect reason for creating his own VW business. Having worked for VW Mike knew exactly what it took to operate to their standards but also realised that the customer service angle could be improved on. The main area of this is the fact that if you order a part from a VW dealer you need to go in and pay for it and then go back in to collect it. VW Speed offer the service of being able to buys parts online, pay for them at the time of the transaction and then await their arrival to their door. No need to go out to the dealer twice to get parts, they come to you.

Following the acquisition of OEM Parts in Norwich in late 2005 and the relocation of the business to East Anglia things have moved on. We source and sell almost any currently available Brand New Genuine VAG part. This happens by undertaking a 10 day Special Order scheme. We also supply a range of After Market Brands but these have to be of similar quality to the manufacturer, companies that supply the manufacturer or better quality products if possible. As a result we only sell, BBS, Cobra, Eibach, GIAC, Evolution Motorsport, Forge, Hella, H&R, Milltek and PSI Motorsport products.
